In case you haven't caught the news yet, a magnitude 8.8 earthquake shook the coast line of Chile this morning.
A tsunami warning has been issued for the entire pacific rim.
My wife Sarah and I are in Maui at the moment. We're 540ft above sea level with a series of cliffs and sloping land between us and the ocean. 9 foot tsunami waves are predicted for portions of shore line close to where we are. But we feel that the location of our house is sufficiently high enough to protect us.
We're in Haiku in Maui if you want to see where we are.
They're calling for evacuation of coastal regions surrounding us. The estimated time of arrival for the tsunami where we are is 11:09 Hawaii time.
