I was just driving back from work heading south along Granville. Around 41st I made a questionable move. The light was red so I went into the right lane to get to the front of the empty right lane.
As I changed lane the light went green so I just continued to accelerate. A black BMW decided they couldn't wait for the next turn signal and made a race car left, assuming it was just two lines of cars.
Im sure the motorcycle barreling at him freaked him out too. I hit the brakes and briefly locked the rear wheel sliding it out a bit.
Once we barly missed eachother I got it back and kept going. It didn't scare me that much until now. It was surprisingly controllable/smooth even in a bit of a slide.
I realize it was timing that saved me not any control on my part. Besides loosing sight of those left turners, what should I have done differently?
