Spin off of the thread about riding an uninsured bike. I am curious as to the legality of pushing an uninsured bike\motor vehicle down the side of the road\highway. As some of the LEO here say that it is illegal and I disagree, I am curious what exactly is the offence? Second part of the question, is; if it is an offence, why would a tow be mandatory? what section of law requires that the vehicle cannot be left in a safe place off the highway? BTW. This question also has a side effect. If it is illegal to park\leave a vehicle with no insurance, what is a person supposed to do if their insurance expires while they are parked in town. Ie, If I went out to a late movie and forgot that my plates expired at midnight and it is now 12:30a?
The only sections of law that I can see that are in effect
