Like many of you, I'm putting fresh insurance on the motorcycle this week. So goes my annual spring pilgrimage to Autoplan with check book in hand.
Historically I've insured just though ICBC for all my motorcycle insurance needs.
Today however, I've been shown the light.
The nice folks at my local Autoplan agent on Lonsdale turned me on to Beacon for my comprehensive insurance. For my 3rd party liability insurance, of course it was done through ICBC but using Beacon for my comprehensive, I saved (drum roll please)...
$1,123 over last year from using ICBC alone. $1,123... Jesus.
That's how much I saved. Not how much I spent. My comprehensive insurance with Beacon for the year was only $365. Last year ICBC charged me $1488.
Now granted I'm a 20 year veteran rider with no tickets (in BC... heh) and no accidents in the last 5 years.
