Around a month ago, when I first insured my bike, I was riding one morning to work. Im from richmond, and I was heading north bound on knight street bridge.
Well, I woudln't say I was excessively speeding, but once I enter Knight Bridge from Westminster Hwy, Im sorry but cars just kinda become pylons sometimes.
And so there I was just riding my way to work, I change lane here, I change lane there, no big deal.
Then suddenly, after knight bridge, around between 57th and knight, some stupid E350 Van cut me off out of the blue. I think I was in the middle lane when he cut me off. It was so obvious that he was an asshole so I gave him the finger right away.
Then he gave me the finger back....
It was a guy, around 40s, and weighed probably around 170-180lbs.
Im not sure exactly what happened that day, but I think I confronted him and asked him what his problem was.
Then he told me that I don't have the right to be changing lanes like the way I did.
I was like F.U. buddy. Are you a Cop or something; cause if you are, then just give me a ticket and shut the fuck up. I also told him to not worry about the way I ride because If anything bad happens, most likely, I will be the one that gets injured and not him in his stupdid VAN.
Then he tells me w/ pride, "Well.. Im actually a security guard..." Then he shows me the tag on his BC Liquior store security guard sweater that his was wearing.
I was like, Fuck you bitch!! Wow, you took a weekend course and you think you can run people off the road.
Then he just nodded his fucking head and drove off.
I was like, what an asshole....
So I kept riding to work and sharing the same road w/ this guy. Then, when I tried to accelerate on my own lane so I can keep going, he suddenly cuts me off again!! We were alreay travelling 50-60km/h when he did this.
He did this to me no matter where I went, and all the way up to 41st ave. and Knight.
I had to do atleast 4 panic stops because of him, aside from quick lane changes because he kept taking my lane. I was almost enjoying the fear this guy was giving me, but it was also making me real angry. My heart was pounding. It was so sureal...I wish there was a camera..
Finally, I gave him the sign that im watching his plates, and he stopped.
Then we both made right at 41sth.
We both hit a red light at 41st and Vic. I quickly moved my bike in front of the car that was in front of his van to lock him in.
I totall forgot that I had no plates, and that im wearing a helmet.
My only ID was the colour of my bike and my eyes. I shoulda just threw a 1,2 combo w/ my carbon fiber knuckled Alpine Star riding gloves, and then ran. Hahaha.
I got off my bike and walked toward his vehicle. I asked him again what his problem was, and wtf is he doing trying to run me off the road like that. I also gave asked him to step out of vehicle. By then, the light was green and he used it as an excuse to go. He moved lane and drove away.
After that day, the memories of what he did kept hunting me. What if that was a different person riding a bike and they crashed. What if I had crashed.
This guy was risking my life!
And for what? Because he doesn't like motorclyist, and jelous that we can get through traffic easier that cagers do....No, maybe it was just the mere fact that he was a bully.
I kept thinking that I should have just punched him in the face right from the start, and not even ask him what's up.
Weeks past... and every now and then, I would remember the incident, especially on my way to work; and sometimes when im riding; which is not that much lately. Everytime I remember it, I get angry, and I thought what an asshole that driver was.
Well, guess what. Today while I was driving my civic to work, I saw him again in richmond. We were heading eastbound on Westminster Highway and had just crossed #5 road. We were both taking Knightbridge again.
He was behind me on the same lane. Then I saw him change lane to the left to pass me. I quickly change lane. Right then then he realize that something was up.
He moved to the right lane, and I tried to cut him off again, but didn't budge and honked he honked his horn and then I heard him yell, " what's your problem?"
We both ended up side by side on a left turn red light at the Entrance of Knight Bridge, at Westminster.
I pulled the E brake on my car, got out, and quickly ran to his drivers door. I had to pull the E brake because I didn't want to shut the engine off.
Then, I told him that if he ever risks another motorcyclists' life again, I will .......................................(use you imagination)
Then I tried to ask him to get out of the car again. I tried to taunt him w/ my fist, and he did the same. I was like, yeah... lets do this....
Then I tried to open his door, but he booked it.....
I chased him. By the time I caught up w/ him, it was at the middle of the bridge already. He really made my civic work.....
I took his plates down(EDIT-DO NOT PUT PLATE NUMBERS IN POSTS). Its a white van w/ a ladder on the roof.
He saw me right his plated down, so he played victim, and took my plates down too.
Then he started making the I'll cut your neck sign while saying im dead.
I started making the chicken sign. Mine was harder because it required the use of both arms and the use of knees for for steering. Hehe
We eventually splitted up... I think that he may work at the liquor store at kingsway, by Joyce, beside Safeway....
Cops called 2 hours later. I told her everything.
It so much easier to type things... I always stutter when im speaking.
Be carefull this summer guys, lots of haters out there.
This letter is not for attention... I just thought It was funny and that I should share it...
But guys, Im not proud of what I did, and It was very childish and imature.
I risked my life again confronting this guy the way I did.
Who's to say that this guy doesn't have gun, or has connections and can get my address through my plates.
He could then make life miserable for me, and the people the live around and w/ me.
Please, do not try this on your own... Atleast be w/ a group...hehe
