My wife and I are working on getting back out to BC but it's looking like Vancouver is more likely than Victoria due to the current job market.
Is Vancouver a bike-friendly city? IE: Are the drivers courteous to motorcyclists or do they treat you like the enemy like out here in Ontario? Does the city offer special small car/motorcycle parking like Victoria does? How are the local dealers?
I always found Victoria to be a great city to drive around. Very slow pace, most drivers are non-aggressive (sometimes to a fault) and traffic signals/signs are generally obeyed. The few times that I visited the mainland, I was amazed at the general disregard for stop signs... especially in Richmond. And of course the rush-hour traffic was horrifying, and worse around the bridges. I don't suppose that has changed for the better!
I know, a lot of varied questions but I'd like to get a feel for the city before we arrive on two wheels.
