I live in an apartment with underground parking, here is a quick & dirty diagram of the lot, dark squares are concrete columns.
The tan coloured Camry owns both lots, normally he locks his bicycles to the column, park the car in the middle as such. I'd ride the bike as shown in solid arrow, get off the bike, and manually lift the rear end and bring it across dotted arrow so I'm not in his line.
I saw the neighbour before, seemed like a nice guy, didn't speak much English; helped him out with his battery leads once. He knows I use his lot to access the back of my lot.
Two days ago, out of the blue, he parked his rusty bicycle (never uses them) as shown below, unlocked... it was also interfering with my ease of access. So I put his 3rd bike between the 2 others, which were locked, so it would appear to be locked and not get stolen, which conveniently allowed me to get pass. Two birds one stone, go me.
Today, he went all out and parked exactly as shown below, with a note on his bicycle "DON'T TOUCH MY BIKE".
Needless to say I was very confused. I never provoked the neighbour, if anything I helped him before... all of a sudden why would he go out of his way to try and block my bike in there? The guy has a wife and a kid, they use the passenger side to get off; so every time they park, he would have to fetch his unlocked bicycle just so it can block my access.
I understand that the lots are his and he can do whatever he wants with them, but it's not like I'm parking my bike on his property or anything.... why would a neighbour go out of his way to block me?
Anyway, I'm writing him a polite letter and hopefully he'll give me a call, any thoughts on what should go on it?
