This is genius, reminds me of the flappy paddles that I see on all the new high end cars (BMW, Audi, Lexus). Eventually I think this system will rule drag racing. Maybe they'll change the rules to not allow these types of trannys. The completely automatic function would be so nice for stop and go commutes and traffic jams. The flappy paddle like function just makes shifting stupid simple.
Can anyone tell me why shifting like we do now would be advantageous at all when this system and its electronics are perfected ever further?
Would it still have an advantage in MOTOGP style racing or would a Rossi clone riding on this type of system have an advantage over the real Rossi shifting with his clutch?
Sorry if any part of this post doesn't make sense, I'm in a hurry - just rambling thoughts no proof reading, but I wanted to post this thread before I left.
