OK I do not normally bitch about the privilege of riding motorcycles.
I consider riding a total option in life. I have personally owned over 23 different street bikes over the years so when a 2004 Ducati 999 falls in my lap for a ridiculously low price I have to jump on it right.
WTF do I know about parts availability? So my story goes I dropped my bike off at Richmond Motorsports on March 20 to have the bike serviced, change the belts, oil, filter, plugs, air filter, adjust the valves, etc..........Unfortunately my bike has been stuck in Vancouver since waiting for a valve cover gasket for over 4 weeks now.
I have been told by Richmond Motorsports that Ducati has a new computer program that is responsible for shipping parts worldwide and it is impossible to track individual orders. So I wait - maybe the parts will be here next Friday.
OK, I personally run a very successful multi-million dollar business using many European companies, we routinely order and ship parts from Europe to operate, in most cases if I care about delivery, we can get parts in Canada in about 5 days max..... I can not understand why it would take over 4 weeks to ship 1 valve cover gasket for my bike unless Ducati or Richmond Motorsports could not give a shit what their customers.
Has anyone else had issues with Richmond Motorsports or Ducati recently?? or am I out to lunch .
Let me know
