    After market exhausts

I have a Honda CBF 1000 ABS. I want to put on a pair of sportier exhaust mufflers. I want my bike to sound more like a bike should. It is too quiet. Any suggestions as to what brand or type would be suitable for my bike? Thanks.

I bought a Leo Vince Carbon through Bayside... they are all in the same
price range. I had it within a week or so... very pleased with it.

I've had good experiences with Leo Vince and Yoshimura (about the same price), Racefit and Akropovic (about the same price, but twice as much as the first two).

Sound? If you want stupid F1 Racecar loud, Racefit all the way, followed by Yosh (race baffle), Akro (baffel out) then Leo Vince.

And don't forget, if you ask for Leo Vince, it's pronounced Veen-chay.

vstrom( ugly, slow) my charming personality , good looks make up for it
I just put a Delkevic system on my my vfr,I was very skeptical of what it would sound and look like for $260.00 muffler-midpipe-clamps-delevered to my door.It is not as sexy as the higher priced systems but for the money hard to beat think http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q986KD71-Tc

another lower cost alternative is viper.

i have a set of al. ovals, and the quality is quite good, and they sound wicked with a v-twin.

they are on ebay all the time.

I only have experience with Staintune, Mistral and Muzzy on twins, but will say that, IMHO, the loudest perhaps isn't the best option.

If you're looking at DB specs for candidate cans, that BMW + Staintune I had on (when we were out last week) is rated 94db. Legal, um, in Australia. It's just above the limit here and plenty loud enough to let out the bike's character.

Same goes for the Guzzi + Mistral (if your audio memory goes back to last summer :-), though that's a bit louder on song, I don't mind as those Italian engines sound terrific. I just short-shift in the city.

The Ninja + Muzzy was horrific, well over 100 DB. So loud I could set off car alarms at will. I sold it off as I couldn't bear to ride it any more.

I seem to remember riding S2S with you on a gixxer 1000 with racefit pipe and i couldn`t hear anything other than your exhaust, not even wind noise at high speeds...could be losing my mind though if that wasn`t you.
