After changing my oil myself today, I was riding home from my parent's house when I started dying at nearly every light/downshift!
I replaced it with a different make, but same weight (10w-40) with 3L of it..
1) drained out all the old oil
2) removed the oil filter,
3) waited about 1.5 hours to put in the new oil filter since I was given the wrong oil filter and had to transit back to the shop to pick up the correct one
4) replaced it with a new oil filter and added new oil in
5) screwed everything back in (not deathly tight, but pretty tight) and started her up and ran her for about 3-5 mins before checking the oil again and adding more to put it level.
I waited for the bike to warm up beforehand and after driving off, about 1km off I lost all rev's and stalled when downshifting..I pulled off to the side, and noticed my choke was about half..so I turned it off, and it started again no probs..about 2 mins later, at the next 4 lights, same thing..when coming to a stop, it stalls again and won't start until 20 seconds later while waiting at the light..
I managed to crawl my way back home trying not to drop my rev's, but I'm freaking out..lol
Is it something I did wrong while changing the oil, or does it have to do with running too rich for that short period?
