Don't know if this is me getting older or more practical but doing road trips and commuting on my bigger bike for most of the year is starting to get a little impractical for my life (during the week - as we all know a sport bike is incredibly practical in the evening or on the weekend ). I'm going to Boston in the next little bit and instead of flying back I was contemplating taking some time off and buying a bike and riding back. I've spent long periods of time in the saddle before so thats not the issue but I've never done it on a small bike. The 'new' 250r seems like a good fit for a quick cheap little commuter (I also like the idea of paying next to nothing for insurance from megsonf as well as 70mpg). I'm 6'4" though so I'm not sure how I would fit on one so I'll have a do a test ride here before going. I've bummed around on 250cc dirt bikes years ago and they seemed fine but that wasn't really racking up any highway mileage with saddlebags and a tank bag. Any input would be appreciated.
