So, I went to a show last night at the Queen E downtown, parked in the lot beside it. Paid for parking, put the stub on my gauges as I usually do.
Came back after the show to find that someone walked away with my stub, and I had a $100 parking ticket waiting for me. Doh.
Called EasyPark this morning, talked to an extremely nice and helpful lady who cancelled my ticket, and gave me a tip for avoiding unnecessary tix in the future.
The tip was to write "Motorcycle" and your license plate number on the stub you'd display on the dash (without obscuring the other info), then putting that on your bike in the normal way. This way, if someone steals your ticket, the metermaids will see that it belongs to a bike, and give the thief a ticket instead of you. She said it should work in just about any lot in the GVRD, not just EasyPark.
I thought I'd share, as it made a lot of sense to me. Hope that helps!
