Generally when riding in traffic I ride a little faster than the general traffic flow, moving past cars right or left as required. I usually do not have any incidents in traffic
On Friday I rode up to Kamloops to visit a friend and decided to mellow out and "go with the flow" in the fast lane. 3 cars and a semi changed lanes into me before I got to Chilliwack from Abby. I resumed my normal, faster than the traffic flow riding and had no further issues.
On the way back, while going with the flow, between Hope and Chilliwack, a pickup with camper just about took me out going for a lane change, I was on the shoulder to avoid contact in all 5 incidents.
I make a point of riding the left side of the left lane when overtaking traffic on the freeway, it saved my butt on this trip.
How do the rest of you guys avoid getting smeared in Freeway traffic?
