Can two bikes occupy one parking space legally?
2 examples, on the street where there is a paking meter and you can fit 2 bikes?
Also say you are in stanley park and you park two bikes in one spot, do both bikes have to pay for a parking ticket, does one ticket work since 2 bikes equal 4 tires? How are you supposed to attach the ticket to the bike so it does not fly away or get stolen?
Thank you very much have a great day. :)

At Stanley Park, it is required to display the payment receipt on the vehicle.
2 motorcycles = 2 receipts required.

You can park multiple vehicles in a stall if you are at a pay-by-space location (ex. certain Impark lots).

New Downtown Parking for Bikes in Bentall Center

They have recently added 24 motorcycle specific stalls in the Bentall Center downtown (Hyatt, Royal Bank Tower). $5 for the day. Pay at the office (cash only) about 50ft away, where they take your plate number & stall # so no one can steal your parking reciept.

"Motorcycles can share meter spaces with other vehicles, but both receive tickets if the meter is expired."

technically tho, the way its worded does not say 2 motorcycles can share one spot. It looks like it means a motorcycle can share a spot with a car. If they ment 2 bikes could share one spot, why not say that instead of "other vehicles" ?

so you're saying that a motorcycle is not a vehicle? :rolleyes

a motorcycle CAN share a parking spot in the city of vancouver with any other vehicle (including motorcycles and scooters). you shouldn't get a ticket as long as the meter hasn't expired. then again, can't assume that all bylaw officers are necessarily aware of the bylaw.

So what is the COV going to do if you are parked between two stalls with cars in it, like right in the middle, and one stall is expired? Ticket or no ticket?
and as for being inbetween two spots, one expired and one not, do you think the meter maids would give you a break? of course not. they'd assume that you're in the expired spot and ticket you in a heartbeat
