broken but not down thanks to my CKX helmet

thanks to everyone who helped me (and continue to help me ) deal with my first broken clavicle. two high sides in one day sent me to the hospital and will most likely send me to RMR suspentions for some tuning and a softer rear spring. i spun the wheel out in t3....crash, and later with much greater hight and wicked dismount in t5. too hard on the gas perhaps....too much lean angle...too stiff a rear end maybe. i hit my head pretty hard and knew the shoulder was toast as soon as i popped to my feet. i have not suffered any head injury so i want to thank kimpex and my new CKX helmet. this one day of action most likely will wrap up the 2010 season for me so i want to appologize to my sponsors for not being able to thank them on the podium this year. i should be around the track and club during the season to help out where i can. have fun out there and play safe.

    cheers, Ryan Welton

Wow, really sorry to hear about crash 2. I saw the first one, truly bad luck on the second.
Hope you're feeling OK, and a broken clav will heal quickly.
Who knows, you might be back on before the end of the season.
    Cheers,

    Ryan

I also hope you don't miss too much racing, of course.

RMR would rather you just see him before you learn that lesson!

You know you inspired me to take it to the track.
It wont be long before your back, in the mean time you looked right at home today pushing baby stroller through the pits.

Sorry to hear about the injury Ryan.

I've had the broken clavicle 4 times...

I'd recommend a large container of percocet...

He'll be back. You can't get rid of a track addiction.

I'll also second the awesome powers of a CKX helmet. With ECE-2205 ratings, they are incredible for the price. My last crash with them saw that I was concussion free, and I should NOT have been. I can't say enough good things about them, and will continue to trust my head to them on the track.

Ryan, your lean angle looked OK on Saturday:
