i just ended my service with digitalvoice.ca
what a bunch of loosers. they kept giving me used phone adaptors(even though i purchased a "new" one from them) that would stop working, and i was intermittently not able to receive calls, whether at home or out of town using a softphone application. They also would not provide packaging or manuals with the phone adaptor, even when i went in to their office and asked for it.
they insisted it was my router, and refused to offer any other assistance until i would allow them access into my system via remote assistance. i allowed them in once before, and they screwed up my settings, and i had to reset to default my router and firewall. and no, the phone adaptor was NOT going through my router, even though i tried to explain this to them.
so i would not let them back into my system(and i was in ottawa at the time...) so they told me there was nothing they were going to do.
so i cancelled my service.
on the last day of my service, they tacked a $41.95 service fee onto my Visa. it is going through visa dispute right now, since i cancelled in mid april, and the last day of service was may 16th.
long story short, it was a terrible experience, and i hope no one here has to go through that.
and i thought telus was bad.
