Guy Martin, one of the top riders on the road courses of Northern Ireland and the Isle of Man, survived a horrendous crash a few days ago at the 2010 TT.
There are probably only 4 places on the Island where you could drop a bike “safely”. The rest is very unforgiving.
Apparently Martin lost the front at 150mph (240kph) going thru Glen Vine. Fortunately he got away with broken ribs and bruised lungs and is expected to make a full recovery.
I’m posting this because the attached photo is spectacular. Martin is nowhere to be seen and his Fireblade (no pun intended) is emerging from it’s own explosion. Note that the rear wheel has collapsed and broken away from the rim (not reported as the cause).
