This is to all of you crazy (by that I mean experianced) riders out there... Just wondering about cornering. I'm still getting used to my R1. I find it more and more comfortable to lean on it.
I went on a group ride couple weeks ago and I heard some guy telling a story how there were 2 R6s and 1 R1 going into a corner up at SFU, and the 2 R6s had racing foot pegs on 'em. The foot pegs were 2 inches higher then the ones on R1. So the guy on R1 kept following the R6s and he was leaning over and at one point the foot peg hit the ground, the bike spun out, and the guy wiped out...
My question is, how do you know how far you can lean before your foot peg smokes the ground? I mean, I'm not even near that point yet. My knee is not even touching the ground. But I just wanted to know for future reference. Any tips?
