Well i dont know what to do with my life so i thought i might try my hand in real estate sales. Ive done car sales before (ouch) computer sales (double ouch) and various customer service jobs to make ends meet. Hopefully this will work out and put some food on the table.
Im at a bit of a cross road right now as to which brokerage i should join. So i have a few questions i want to ask you ladies and gents about your own preference/outlook on realtors.
number 1 on the list of question is : What sort of brokerage companies would you choose to list/buy your home? remax? sutton? mcdonald? or some lesser known ones like team 3000, magsen, royalty. I need to join one but the desk fee's for the bigger companies are quite substantial. (like 800 dollars a month, + 10% of commission VS 250 dollars per transaction or per month with the smaller companies) I dont know if it is worth it to join the bigger firms if im just starting out
no. 2 would be how did you choose your Realtor? what did he/she do to make the transaction successful or unsuccessful for you. Ive seen a lot of bad bad sales people before and i do not wish to go down that road. I want to know how to go above and beyond to help my future clients and any examples of such cases would help my career.
no 3. what do you think of Realtors in general? personally i find them a tiny step up from car salesmen (sorry all you car salesman/woman out there, i was once like you too) therefore not exactly worthy of much admiration or respect. I want to change my own perception of realtors and see what other people think of the real estate industry.
thanks for your help guys,
