Flew Down to LA for a session at California Superbike School.
Rented a brand new BMW R1200GS - not quite my sportbike,
but turned out to be a hell of a lot of fun on the tight, and
sometimes a little rough, Cali back roads.
Came with a set of pretty slick hard side cases that pop off
for easy carrying to your camp/hotel room, etc.
Bike is WAY tall, but very nimble at low speeds - did a couple
of psuedo "off-road" adventures, and while the bike is nimble
it is also really heavy - heaven help you if the thing gets a
bit too far over... avoided that, but a couple of very exciting
moments in the loose stuff when the front end washed out !
