Just had my fork seals done and decided to check out why my front brakes did absolutley nothing. Fork oil had dripped onto the rotors and got baked/glazed onto my pads. The pads were so smooth my finger could glide effortlessly accross them like a sheet of ice. Time for the sandpaper/brake cleaner!!
Got some 80 grit(for the pads) and 300grit(for the rotors) and an extra large can of brake clean. Took the pads out and rubbed the glaze off real good untill i could see/feel actual pad again. Then took the 300 grit and rubbed the rotors lightly in an up/down/circular motion. Result? Got my brakes back! woohoo!
PS: this was for anyone that might not know how to do this\or is too broke to buy new pads....like me
