I'm going to be heading to Neah Bay for lunch on Saturday, July 17. After early lunch and some pics I'll be continuing down south, so unless anyone wants to do the full Olympic-peninsula loop, we'll be splitting ways from there. Yes, you're responsible for making your own way back (it's pretty much a one-highway road...).
The route is simple: http://maps.google.ca/maps?f=d&sourc...4,3.636475&z=9
I've never actually been to Neah Bay, but the word on the street is that there are lots of awesome twisties on the road leading up to it.
What you can expect:
- Very easy pace; I don't want to say "noob friendly," although it may very well be. Definitely not attracting any attention.
- Lots of fantastic views.
- One or two stops for pics.
- An R6 carrying half of WalMart.
- Awesome roads.
I will be leaving very early. I'll likely be on the road (from Port Moody) around 6am; this means you can't get trashed the night before. Bummer, I know.
No set meeting place - will determine when/if someone is interested.
Holla back, yo.
//edit - meeting point is the Campbell River Store gas station at 6:45am. Leaving no later than 7:00am.
