Star School at ORP Aug 30-31

Jason Pridmore's Star School is at Oregon Raceway Park August 30-31.

This is going to a blast!! I can't say enough about how good Jason's school is...some of you know what I'm taking about (Thunderhill, Portland)

For those who have never taken the school, here's some info:
There's usually 2 groups, 20min sessions on track followed by 20min classroom (you're going to want to take notes - there is sooo much info)
Jason teaches all the classroom sessions before lunch & then he gives 2-up rides on a GSX-R 1000 to anyone who wants in the afternoon.
Taking a 2-up ride with Jason is a must.. it shows how smooth a motorcycle can be ridden at speed.
Jason's partner Mark Gallardo is a master of teaching body postion & all the other instructors are simply amazing.
The school has something for every level of rider from track day riders to racers.

I've taken the school for the past 4 years and I attribute whatever racing success I've had with my stock 600 against more powerful bikes to Jason & the Star School.

I'm so excited!! I love to learn a new track!!

See you there!!

I think i'm in. I've found a number of banks with appalling low security systems..fingers crossed.
I'll let you know!

If my teammate can't get the days off there will be room in the van for you. I'll keep you posted.

ORP is huge fun. Not that fast but quite technical.

What you cant see very well in the vid is the elevation change. It's constant. There is literally not a single foot of track that is on level ground. Its constantly going up and down.

There should be quite a few people going down from here. You should be able to hook up a ride or bike transport.

I'm interested but need a way to get my bike down there. I would be happy to share gas/expenses for a van/trailer or if there is only room for my bike on your trailer that is ok as well. I can drive my car down and take passengers.

Please send me a pm if you have space available or are thinking of going.

I am about 95% sure I will be heading there for a track day on Saturday... Short notice but I have room for one bike if you can rent a trailer... I will let you know how it is.

Covered motorcycle trailers are available for rent out of Abbotsford for $45.00 per day, for 2 bikes. They include the front wheel chocks.

I'm in as well. Look forward to meeting locals down there.

I believe it's going to be really hot in Grass Valley - need a plan for keeping cool if Pitt Meadows on Monday was any foretaste!

We have experienced some really hot days at ORP....like 38 degrees hot. We use these http://www.cyclegear.com/spgm.cfm?L1...m=TEI_6529-S_G

For 35 bucks they are a bargin and they work really well. Suggest locating a Cyclegear in Seattle and order in advance and picking it up on the way down, (it's nice to try different sizes) or have it shipped to Blaine and pick it up on the way down. Unless you can find em in Van somewhere....
