Coles notes: rode my bike from Vancouver to Nova Scotia and blew my engine on the Cabot Trail near Meat Cove. It was epic!
In August of 2009 I completed my first motorcycle safety course with ProRide in North Vancouver. November I bought a 1988 Kawasaki Ninja for $500 off of Craigslist. By December the bike was alive and I was riding it daily. In January I took the bike on the BC Ferries coastal circle tour. By July of this year I had my full class 6 and had logged close to 10,000km on the Ninja and replaced just about everything on the bike.
On July 4th I left on my first major road trip. I left North Vancouver for Halifax. It was an amazing voyage and I one I won't soon forget. Sadly on day 10 I blew my engine on the
Cabot Trail. I ended up giving the Ninja to a local bike shop as shipping it home didn't make any sense given the scope of work and the damage to the bike.
One of the best parts of my trip was that I had people sign my bike as I crossed the country. I've included those pictures at the end. I'm now in Toronto and tonight I leave for the final phase of my journey, catching the train to Vancouver. I hope you enjoy the pictures.
