Had a chat with a friend a while ago who happens to be an avid Porsche fanatic and owner and it seems like a lot of the car manufacturers with pedigree are 'selling out' at least when it comes to their reputation of being a world renown sports/super car or motorcycle company. Porsche has the cayenne, Ferrari had that suv years ago (apparently they are working on a new one), and Lamborghini has one in the works as well. The main reason I started this thread was because of what I saw on heallforleather this morning:
I don't really have a say in what motorcycles a company designs (besides the very small amount of talking I can do with my wallet) and how they market themselves but I mean really? Really? I don't pretend to be a die hard Ducatisti but this just comes across as a dark blot on a quirky yet prestigious bloodline. I guess this is just how things go but it's kind of sad. I'm sure this ugly beast will outsell all other Ducati models combined in North America but at what cost? The monster already kind of blurred the lines but this just seems like they are going too far. Am I alone in this or does anyone else feel the same way?
