well my girlfriend went to carter looking for dirtbikes, and while I have to say Kevin (bcsb member) helped us out and everything looked good to start. She put down a dep on a bike.
Then today she went back in looking for more information concerened the bike she picked wasnt the one for her. and was looking to get a deposit back. And that she might find a 250 a better size for her, asking if they had anything used that might suit her better.
Well Patrick first explained the bike was in (she had been waiting for it) and would be ready for monday, then proceeded to flip on her going crazy about how his job isnt to give discounts to people buying bikes its to sell bikes and blah blah and proceeded to reem her out big time. She mentioned to me that the fact the bike was in the shop, he probably could have persueded her to get the bike. But instead flipped on his crazy switch and went off at a customer.
When she encountered this little hissy fit, she told him that she just couldnt spend any money in his store and wanted her money back. He proceeded to give her the run around for 45 min making no effort to help her out. an hour later she walked out with her money put off about motorbikes in general.
Again I'd like to say thanks to Kevin for the help and that your boss lost the sale not you.
Second I dont want this to be a gang bang carter, just a story from a disatisfied customer.
While in the past I've seen Carter make attempts and replying to posts on this board with backlashes I thought it was just a frustrated owner/employee trying to defend there business. But after today I question if it was just the crazy switch being flipped.
You're a business, serving customers and treating customers is your job. Get used to things not going 100% perfect everytime and work around it trying to present solutions to your customers rather than scolding them and chewing them out.
You dont think this post should be on a public forum? I think that who she was dealing with showed absolutely no class and business sense and has lost another 2 customers because of it. And I think that if I can save a friend of mine from dealing with the same kind of crap I'm more than happy to put stories like this on a place where 1500 members can read it.
I would have been more than happy to post up a "I had a great experience at this shop" thread. Its not my fault you lost another customer.
