So, as a rule of thumb I try to not post my daily life on this forum, unless it's having my Ninja die on the highway. :P
Anyway! I'm just so giddy about what happened today, I couldn't not share it.
I have 3 helmets, Shoei RF-800, a Shoei RF-1000, and an RF-1100.
I was on my way back from Port Alberni a while back, and the baseplate that locks the shield, makes it crack open, etc, snapped and broke. basically making the shield useless and letting all sorts of shit inside the helmet all the time.
A couple weeks later I sent Shoei an EMAIL which almost never proves results for me, explaining the situation.
Without any questions asked, or a clear response, I figured "Oh, they don't care. Cool."
Anyway, I go to the mail box today (They must have had my shipping address on file.), recieved a package from "Shoe Safety Helmets", with $20 worth of Base plates, for free.
No questions asked, no "did you break it", no "Warranty is expired."
None of the crap my fellow riders have dealt with, with other brands.
Like I said, I was thoroughly impressed with this, and it's a great Example of Shoei's amazing customer service.
