Background: Only been riding about 6 weeks, took PRS about a month ago. Done just over 3000km since then on my 06 FZ6 (had 7000km on it when i bought it, and it's just about to roll over 10.5 now).
My tires look like they're in good shape, still plenty of room to the wear bars, not scalloped or flattened but I just don't feel very stable when I've got the bike leaned far over (which probably isn't that far yet considering I'm new to this). I know the stock dunlops on this bike get pretty universally terrible reviews, and they're almost 5 years old now so they're likely fairly hard.
So my question is: if I'm feeling a bit squirrelly in sharp corners, do you think I have legitimate cause to blame my tires, or I just need to get ahold of my head a bit more and trust that the bike will be fine at that lean angle? I'm not sure if I can legitimately blame my equipment and buy some new tires or if this is just rider inexperience showing through.
