I guess we all new it would happen one day and I Hope the officer recovers and is not badly hurt.
My hope is that some good will come from this and the local police departments will weigh the dangers of running out into traffic to give people a $138 ticket more carefully.
Maybe this may result in a change in policy and procedure in the use of fixed laser or radar.
I for one have not been able to stop for an officer running out in the road and I am sure I am not the first or the last that has had this experience.
It was really only a matter of time I guess.
I don't blame the officer or even the drivers that may have been speeding.
I blame all the Government offices that are responsible for making these officers try and enforce ridiculously low speed limits on a 6 lane Highway like the 99 by using a laser gun and running into 100kph+ traffic.
I just got back from a 7 day trip in the states where the speed limit on a road like that would be 70-75mph and no one speeds as opposed to 80k where everyone speeds.
