hey guys, so ive been riding for almost a year now with my 2004 r6, just got my full service done at 25,000 in feb. im curretnly sitting at 26,xxx. but i just realized that my bike has some strange ticking going on. im going to ems sometime this week, but in the mean time, would riding my bike give me any issues?
heres how it goes: in NEUTRAL there is no ticking. but going first, and second gear around 4-5 thousand rpm, there is a very consistent ticking occuring from somewhere on my bike. im on my bike, so i can't really isolate where the sound is coming from. and can't hear it in neutral. i havn't tried any higher gear cause well... highway speeds are probably going to be in a higher rpm neways. either its not audible at higher rpm, or its not there. anyways, it SOUNDS like valves ticking, but im not too sure, it definately doesn't sound like clanking. i use 91 chevron if that makes a difference.
i don't think my engine is going to explode if i keep riding, but i don't want to do ne permanent damange either. any thots?
