Hey BC Sportsbike!
I guess i should start off with a little intro. I am new to British Columbia. I've been her since the 30th of July. I live in at the CFB Esquimalt while undergoing my training as futur Sonar Operator in the Canadian Forces Navy. I moved here from Quebec, a place which some of you might've heard is very intolerant of motorcycles and in particular sport bikes.
I've been riding dirt bikes and motocrosses since i was 11 or twelve. I started on an old CT70, moved on to a chinese Crf125 copy, then a CRF 250 chinese copy and last i had was an RM125. Over the years i got very familiar to a bike. But not all that experience can be useful on the streets. When i found out it would only take a minimum of 30 days to get licensed in BC, i went shopping. I found a CBR125 which i was able to get financed and am now the new owner of. I got my learners class 6 the same day. I've been driving it a lot since. I haven't had any trouble riding it, in fact i love driving in the streets and it's totally the shit in Victoria. I had a bit of trouble with the flashers and forgetting to turn them off. Ive never really had those on a motorcross anyways. So i figured id ride it for a year until ive gotten used to driving in all the wonderful weather bc will have and hopefully not hurt my bike, than sell it and move on to a 600.
So i guess my only question is, what should i work on to pass the skills test?
Also does anyone know how much insurance id be looking at with a 600 like a 2004-07 CBR600 / R6 etc
