I recently received a speeding tickets and the officer was nice enough to give me a break with the fines.
He also mentioned that he will issue the ticket to the registered owner and not the driver as this will spare me some points. I was very grateful and expressed my gratitude. I was both the driver and the registered owner.
When I tried to pay the ticket at ICBC and asked for clarification regarding the points for this particular speeding ticket. The answer was "speeding tickets is speeding tickets, doesn't matter to whom it is issued to. You will get three points for this ticket."
so was I misinformed or ICBC had no idea what they are talking about?
