So I went to pacific racewàys with my best friends in kent washington. Suited up in full leathers and pajamas over top and set out. Got my knee down in the first 2 laps and ripped my pjs. I wanted a good photo-op
Had my suspension dialed in by fluid suspensions and setout again after watching some chinese fairings get modified by another BCSB'er. Bike was tougher to get down now as the ride height was much taller and the suspension much stiffer! nice! After a few more laps and a bit of suspension work my knee was down every corner. Great fun on the 929 getting my tires all sticky. No more chickenstrips on the front. Sliding knee is bliss! It is like your first time doing a fast-stop on ice skates.
If any of you have never been to a track day, do it. There is no way on the street I could have that much fun and feel that comfortable any day of the week. The racers there were all really nice and helpful with suggestions. As well as a good tuned suspension made a world of difference for me.
And on that bombshell I'd like to announce my retirement from street riding. Stay safe everyone, expect a video soon.
