My apologies for the newbie post. I hope you experienced veterans can chime in on this and thank you in advance.
I'm looking at several older Honda bikes, specifically the CB350, CB550 and CB750 with no particular preference (yet.) Since these bikes are much older, some of which are "vintage" status, are parts for these bikes hard to come by? And are they fairly simple bikes which local shops (i.e. EMS/5th Gear/Bayside etc.) can service without any hassle?
Also, are there any specific issues/quirks that come with these bikes other than the obvious fact that they are old? i.e. poor gearbox, motor, electronics etc.
I am looking specifically for a CBxxx converted into a cafe racer but concerned whether or not parts and service are available for these bikes. I am not looking for a daily rider but moreso an evening and weekend cruiser. I would hate to dig myself into a hole where parts are rare and/or expensive so better safe than sorry. Please let me know and thanks again!
