Motard vs Streetbike - this can now be summed up as:
"stunting vs excessive speeding"... either way, the fun WILL be busted.

FUN is highly taxable these days.....

Not really good for anything, but they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down a flight of stairs.

    Motard!

I have decided that next year I am getting a Motard or Dual Sport. I ride in the city and anything else is a waste of time. For the few times I venture out over the bridge I will just suck it up......

I rented a motard this past weekend...

A sportbike is like that wealthy and connected friend of a friend who treats you to parties in the best clubs in town until one day you get thrown in jail as an accessory when you find out he is an arms smuggler. A motard is like the college friend who blows into town a few times a year and you swear you will only have a couple of drinks with... but always wake up the next morning with an empty bank account smelling of cheap perfume and vomit.

Both are pretty dangerous in terms of keeping a class 6 in good standing, so I am not sure what I'll do but being short I am thinking of passing on the 35" high motard as I'd planned, get something with character like a Thruxton and then get a track-day bike for speed fixes.

Yeh there is self-control of course but like using a handmade Japanese chef's knife to spread peanut butter, perhaps selecting the right tool for the right job is the thing.
