seeing as my cali plans were gonna get scrubbed and today was the last good day of weather for the next little while i decided to join maverik for the first day of his 9 day trip. originally i was just planning to go to winthrop and then turn around and come home, but that sorta changed a little bit. i ended up doing this loop:
unlike my previous trip to winthrop, it did not rain and the weather was almost perfect - it was just a bit chilly going thru the north cascades. after stopping in okanogan for lunch i decided to keep going so i could hit what is becoming a top fav section of road - chesaw road and out to nighthawk.
i've driven the crowsnest (#3) thru bc before but never on a bike. even though it was nighttime and cold, i had a blast. a large section between princeton and manning park has been repaved and i can't wait to get back in the daytime.
the rest of the trip was dark, and freakin cold. by the time i got to hope my hands and feet were numb, so i stopped at timmies to warm up with some soup and hot chocolate before heading home.
i've linked to a map and maverik took me on a few detours but i'm not sure if i got them all right. all in all a great day out on the bike.
