    Cool California: Oct 9 - 16

Three of us are departing Vancouver on Sat Oct 9, in the early
morning, bound for California (have room for one more on the way
back as one is staying down in S Fran).

We are taking a truck, loading 3 bikes into the back, and blitzing I5
to Yreka, Ca - then onto the bikes for 6 days, back to Yreka, and
    truckin back to Vancouver.

If any others are interested we could take 1 or perhaps 2 more, with
a trailer for additional bikes. We are splitting costs, staying in hotels,
    and generally traveling light.

The rough plan for the trip is to ride around 450 - 550 km/day, at a
good pace (read: not too crazy, not too slow), see some sights, be
able to stop for photos, etc - and see a lot of great places,
while sticking to twisty roads, wherever possible:

Day 1 (Oct 9) - load truck, depart Van early, and drive to
Yreka, Ca on I5, with stops for fuel, and a bike shop

Day 2 (Oct 10) - hit the bikes and do a (525 km) set of roads,
lunch in Weaverville, dinner in Arcata, ending the day in Fortuna

Day 3 (Oct 11) - Ave of Giants, along Hgwy 1, to S Fran for dinner
at Fisherman's Wharf, hotel near there for the night (525 Km)

Day 4 (Oct 12) - ride some of the roads N of S Fran (Panorama Hgwy,
Mt Tam, Ridgecrest, etc - approx 500 km) and/or visit some shops in S Fran.

Day 5 (Oct 13) - do the California Superbike School at Sears Point
    for one day

Day 6 (Oct 14) - ride north, catching a couple of different routes
back and forth to the coast, and on to Garberville (510 Km)

Day 7 (Oct 15) - ride a different set of roads back up through
Weaverville, and up to Yreka (500 Km)

Day 8 (Oct 16) - hit the slab early, I5 back to Vancouver,
    arriving in the early evening.

Sunday to massage (or rest) the butt cheeks, so we can
actually walk/sit again on Monday morning....

Around 2500 km on the bikes over 6 days - with options for shorter
days if the days get too long.

Post up if you are interested...

Live each day like it is your last,
like you will never get another chance...

One day it will be, and you will not.

perfect..Thanksgiving falls in that time which means one less vacation day to take off which amounts to another ride some other time
