So it's the time of season where all plans are made or completed. Where did you go this year? Anything else planned for 2010?
I really enjoyed the secluded ride along hwy 16 heading east from PG. Had the honor of staying at a few members remote houses for some amazing loops. A first, second, and third firsts for winthrop and baker leaves a question... Why didn't I do this before (oh right, harley). Upgraded and tested a full set of camping gear and did weekly meets where some low-speed enthusiasts pushed the limits. This year has gone by without a single problem or mechanical issue (also a first).
Seen a half dozen crashes and observed everything from envelope to parade riding neither suited my fancy. I feel there's lots more to explore and see all it takes is more bikes, more time, more miles, and more money. Test rode everything from a 600, drz and other adrenaline fixes to cruisers, wing and other relaxing bikes compromising making a ride easy vs higher challenges for the same style of riding.
I hope to see experience rallies, farther places and national parks next year. I still have tons of things to see before committing to responsibility and financial obligations. If I get the time I still want (need) to see California... with the exception of precipitation seems like the best time to go is now. In the last 9 years of riding this is my first as a motorcycle enthusiast and the most enjoyable yet.
