I've seen a huge trend lately in people switching over to Dualsporting .
Biggest advantage I think comes from the back to basics freedom. Motorcycles were originally made to go from farm to farm cheap transportation for the masses. The horse replacer .
I personally grew up on a farm and loved to ride anything with wheels , we had no money so anything was amazing
. The first bike was a Honda 185 street bike . We took it everywhere bald street tires and all. Gravel pits , hay fields, mud , power lines ... anywhere. Part of the thrill was "I can't believe I just made it up or over that "It was amazing to see what a motorcycle could do or take you.
Now 30 years later it's still the same thrill to take my Beta 400RR over logs , rocks,up mountains , streams you name it steeper and more slick the better.
Street is a thrill to go out and go fast and social networking is still fun. But there's cops , cars, high speeds quick stops, points, traffic .. many fun busters out there. Plus you will never in your life trust me tires don't lie put a modern sportbike within 25% of its abilities.
Hitting the road and blazing up the gravel roads to the trails and ending up on top of a mountain is like a 1 day or after work 3 hr vacation. I absolutly love riding the dualsports . On the street there also a blast hit the back alleys and weave your way threw town completely undetected , side trails , construction site are all your playground. Other bonus cops don't even look at you on a dualsport. Your like the kid wearing a helmet on the short bus.
Anyway , doesnt matter what you ride but it's fun trying out different things .
Its not about the dreams its all about the memories.
