Is there a simple, foolproof, fast way to run everything from an external USB drive so that instead of booting from the internal C drive in my three laptops and one desktop, it would boot from my external USB drive? Would it then be easy to make copies of my external USB drive?
The reason I ask is that I have one laptop given to me by my work, plus two of my own laptops, plus one desktop, so it would be really great if I could simply run everything all the time from the one external USB drive regardless of what PC I happen to be using.
That way all four PC's would look and run identically, have the same files, same desktop look, same software, same OS, same user settings, same IE favorites, same emails, etc.
Oh, I do not need to have the four PC's access the one USB drive at the same time. One on one is fine.
