    Last I read, there was a casino and hotel with convention center to be built beside BC place, at a significant price tag. Was this confirmed as for sure (the article said so, but I haven't heard since).

    The picture of the new BC place looks horrendous. We'll see what it looks like when it's done.

    The geometry for this render is bare bones... Google earth wont and cant have crazy high poly counts for these maps. Its just a basic shape of the new stadium.

    I seen a nice model of it in Parksville a few months ago and it looks pretty sweet!

    Yeah, but GF and I walk the dog by there frequently and it just looks radically out of scale. It is going to dominate the cityscape, and is not attractive enough to make it better, IMHO.

    Those steel posts on the outside are fucking huge...
