So I had a bike shop mechanic pull the, 'yknow legally if I do work on your bike, I can legally demand to take it for a ride to test my workmanship'.
It was just for a frikkin oil change and the guy wanted to take my recently purchased bike for a joy ride.
When he came back from the 'test' ride, he said "MAN, that bike is FUN!!"
Yeah thanks for letting me know you rode the shit out of it.
In my mind, I hold the only insurance policy on this bike. If said mechanic cracks it up killing a family of 7, does that make ME liable?
Surely, I would be able to refuse a test ride, but I have never looked into it.
If indeed there is a law that says they can go for a ride, whose insurance covers them? And how are they covered since the policy follows the bike, not the rider?
