For those of you thinking BC is the only one with tough laws these days.
NOVA.SCOTIA (CBC) - A Halifax man is facing a $2,410 fine after he was clocked going more than 50 km/h over the posted speed limit.
The 52-year-old man was stopped on Highway 104 in the Mount Thom-Salt Springs area Friday afternoon.
Officers with RCMP Eastern Traffic Services issued him the ticket under the province's so-called stunting law.
His vehicle was impounded and his licence revoked for seven days.
Officers pulled him over during Operation Impact, which is targeting aggressive drivers during the Thanksgiving weekend.
