So I just stopped by Richmond Traffic Court to see the system in operation. Its my last day off and i was in the neigghborhood so why not.
After reading the listings for the two courtrooms in use, I see that out of the 73 disputes registered, slightly more than half are in the name of people without a European sounding name.
Now I have no idea of the sex or age of anyone present and where they were born. This is about the least amount of data you could ever have for a question like this, but then again it s BCSB.
Now before people go off half-cocked, this is my question. Are Europeans more likely to not fight a ticket? Are non-Europeans more likely to? Is one group better or worse drivers? I'm pretty sure that Europeans aren't in that small a minority yet.
I'll post the results of the session.
