Hi there, I'm a newb and my husband and I have two motorcycles - and a scooter - I go both ways ;-). I doubt anyone will run away with my scooter, but I'm a bit alarmed that someone in my building said she saw a stranger looking over our bikes in the secured U/G lot this morning. When she indicated that she was going to call someone, he left via an exit door. When I went down to look around, I found that the door had been wedged ajar with a slip of paper in the closing mechanism. We have had our parking broken into many times over the years, but our vehicles (four wheeled) have never been hit as we have always had alarms on them. But this is a bit of a concern since our new babies are down there. We are a small building (only 14 units) so everyone knows everyone.
One bike is now uninsured, the others are staying insured over the winter.
So my question is this. What is the best form of security - stay legal with me here ;-) - that we can use to protect our bikes? There are disc locks on all three, and we can't install anything permanent in the floor (bike brace) since the spots are legally common property.
Looking for opinions on what else we can/should do. Thanks for any input.
