Cool company coming to Vancouver. Posting this to see what others think of the concept.
Essentially, smart cars are peppered throughout the city. Walk up, swipe a credit card sized card on the windshield, start the car and drive. $0.35/min charge, unlimited milage in the city, all costs including insurance and gas included.
Their perk is that there is no where to return the car. Once you get to your destination, leave the car there and walk away (parked legally). You're automatically billed. Idea is, next time someone needs it, they drive it from where you parked it.
Ideally, there is free parking so you don't have to worry about that either.
I like it - it doesn't really compete with rental cars, more competition for public transit and taxi's. 10 minutes of driving, only $3.50 total cost.
What do you think?
