Super cool. Too bad litigation has ended such a cool spectator sport!
I'd like to try that. About 1/2 speed!

Seen this video before but it's well worth watching. Not realy anything to do with Motard, more like SX without dirt. If you want to see where Motard realy started do a search for Super Bikers. I remember watching it on Wide Word of Sports way back in the day. UTube has a few short vid's of some of the races. After they pulled the plug on it here in North America the French took it to the next level. That's why now we know it as Super Motard.

I don't care for motocross, I find it exceptionally boring, but *this*, this I would pay money to watch! (sigh)

Fack, looked dangerous as all get out, though

It made me think of Rollerball. (the James Caan original one, not the other new piece of crap knock off)

I also really enjoyed watching "Superbikers" on TV all those years ago, with the likes of Lawson, Rainey et al on semi-dirt track tired pseudo motocross type bikes, that was great!

I have a poster on my wall that shows Lawson on a CR500 Motard. He went over to France and won the "Golden Handlebar" racing a one of off Motard race. It was like the ABC Super Bikers event and featured all the top guns. He was always my fav' GP guy. Steady Eddie!
