Anbody else out the past few days, or today? Sure, it's cold, but with big gloves and an electric vest, there has been some wonderful riding in the lowlands near the coast: Richmond, along the river, Roberts Bank, Tsawassen, Steveston, Dyke Rd, River Rd, etc. Tons of birdlife: eagles ruling the world from the tops of trees, mallards on ice in sloughs, swans on Westham Island, grebes diving in the South Arm... not to mention Varied Thrushes and Towhees (plus less spectacular birds) at my backyard feeder. And LOTS of walkers and bicyclers. All with the north shore mtns rimming the view to the north and Baker and the North Cascades jutting over the trees to the east. A very fine few days...

I hope you all are having a fine New Years break too...
