A young motorcyclist was killed on Saturday night on the Pat Bay highway. He was only 20 years old. Riding at night, no supervisor with only his learners. The corner is normally easy to negotiate, for most people that arent speeding super excessively and have some experience.
Its hard to analyze why the rider went down, but leading up to the corner is a long straightaway and the corner does not look difficult to negotiate.
Please for those new people riding, keep the speeding to a minimum or less excessive until you know what you are doing. If you have to ask yourself if you can make this corner at a really high speed, chances are you might not.
RIP rider, on behalf of all riders in Victoria and Vancouver my condolences to the family of the fallen rider.
